2003 Assembly Joint Resolution 83
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Angelo F. Greco.
Whereas, Angelo F. Greco was born on March 19, 1925, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and died on April 29, 2004, in Milwaukee; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco served his country with the U.S. Army in the Medical Corps during World War II in China, Burma, and India; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco received a BA degree from Lawrence University in 1950, and earned an LLB degree from the University of Wisconsin Law School in 1955; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco was first elected to the Wisconsin assembly in 1960, serving in the 1961 through 1965 sessions; and
Whereas, during his tenure in the assembly, Mr. Greco served on the Committee on Judiciary, Committee on Education, and Committee on Commerce and Manufacturers and on the Building Commission; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco served as majority caucus chairman in the 1965 session; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco served as vice-chairman on the Governor's Committee on Loans and Scholarships in 1965; and
Whereas, Mr. Greco maintained a law practice after leaving the legislature, and actively participated in community theater for many years; now therefore be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Angelo F. Greco contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Mr. Greco's wife, Loretta, and his former wife, Nancy; his sons, Joseph of Oceanside, California; Thomas of Orlando, Florida; David of Mequon; and Donald of Port Washington; his sister, Mary Staffeld; and his brothers, Joseph and John.
