2003 Assembly Resolution 7
ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: recognizing Chief State Forester Gene Francisco's accomplishments and 34 years of dedicated service to the state of Wisconsin.
Whereas, Gene L. Francisco has led a long and distinguished career with the state of Wisconsin, serving most recently as Wisconsin's Chief State Forester; and
Whereas, during Gene Francisco's 34-year service to the state of Wisconsin, he has risen through the ranks because of his dedication and professionalism, working as forester/ranger, forest fire dispatcher, Oshkosh area forestry supervisor, deputy director of the bureau of forestry, and director of the bureau of forestry; and
Whereas, Gene Francisco's extensive field experience and insight have added to Wisconsin's history of pragmatic and scientific development of its forestry policies; and
Whereas, Gene Francisco helped elevate forestry from bureau to division status, giving Wisconsin's forests a position of prominence in environmental and economic policies while ensuring Wisconsin's forests are managed sustainedly and responsibly for the future; and
Whereas, many generations to come will have the opportunity to enjoy the splendor of Wisconsin's forests because of Gene Francisco's foresight and dedication; and
Whereas, Gene Francisco's dedication and expertise have left an indelible and positive imprint on Wisconsin's forests; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, That the Wisconsin state assembly is honored to recognize and congratulate Gene Francisco on his many accomplishments and 34 years of dedicated service to the state of Wisconsin; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to Mr. Francisco.
