2003 Senate Joint Resolution 72
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael C. Anderson.
Whereas, Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael C. Anderson, at the age of 36, was killed on Sunday, May 2, 2004, in the Al Anbar Province of Iraq after mortar fire struck his camp; and
Whereas, Michael C. Anderson served with distinction with the Naval Mobile Construction Battalion 14, otherwise known as the Seabees, based in Jacksonville, Florida; and
Whereas, Michael C. Anderson graduated from Oshkosh North High School in 1986; and
Whereas, Michael C. Anderson was known by all as a generous man who would give up his free time to help anyone who needed it; and
Whereas, Michael C. Anderson made the ultimate sacrifice for his country while defending his country and advancing the cause of freedom for the Iraqi people; and
Whereas, Michael C. Anderson will always be remembered for his loyalty and duty and will never be forgotten; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the life and devoted service of Petty Officer 2nd Class Michael C. Anderson, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Michael Anderson's wife, Karen, daughter, Brandi, and mother, Sylvia.
