2003 Senate Resolution 14
ENGROSSED RESOLUTION
Relating to: commending the Japan External Trade Organization.
Whereas, the Japan External Trade Organization has created a successful, on-going relationship with the state of Wisconsin; and
Whereas, with the rapidly changing attitudes and circumstances evolving in our world, the opportunity now exists for the United States to expand economic and cultural relations in a vast, open marketplace; and in a cooperative effort to strengthen socioeconomic ties between Japan and America, the Japan External Trade Organization and the state of Wisconsin have worked closely to assist Wisconsin companies in exporting and establishing business operations in Japan; and
Whereas, through the programs offered by the Japan External Trade Organization, which include export consulting, trade fairs, industry-specific buyer programs, and business center support, Wisconsin businesses have been able to gain valuable insight and understanding; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, That the members of the Wisconsin senate hope that this relationship will continue to promote joint ventures in the future and serve to preserve the bonds of goodwill that exist between our countries; and, be it further
Resolved, That the members of the senate commend the Japan External Trade Organization and look forward to continuing a successful partnership.
