2005 Assembly Joint Resolution 103
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the distinguished career of Wilton (Tony) E. Mason III in his service to the Legislative Fiscal Bureau, the legislature, state government, and the people of Wisconsin.
Whereas, Tony Mason received a baccalaureate degree from the University of North Carolina and a master of arts degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison; and
Whereas, Tony Mason taught political science at Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota; and
Whereas, Tony Mason joined the staff of the Legislative Fiscal Bureau on February 9, 1976, to work on a program evaluation project in conjunction with the Eagleton Institution of Politics at Rutgers University; and
Whereas, Tony Mason continued his career at the Legislative Fiscal Bureau and served as a fiscal analyst on a wide variety of state agency programs and budgets; and
Whereas, in September 2002, Tony Mason became the program supervisor of the Legislative Fiscal Bureau's general government and justice team; and
Whereas, Tony Mason's knowledge of the history, traditions, politics, and procedures of the legislature, made him an invaluable resource to all with whom he worked; and
Whereas, Tony Mason's many talents and skills as an analyst, researcher, writer, supervisor, and mentor have greatly benefited the Legislative Fiscal Bureau and the legislature; and
Whereas, throughout his career, Tony Mason conducted himself with integrity, dignity, and professionalism and earned the respect of all; and
Whereas, Tony Mason will retire from the Legislative Fiscal Bureau on June 30, 2006, after 30 years of service; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend Tony Mason on his career, dedication, exemplary work, and service to the citizens of Wisconsin; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to Tony Mason and to his mother, Mrs. Martha B. Mason.
