2005 Assembly Joint Resolution 91
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of Lance Corporal Richard Warner, USMC.
Whereas, Lance Corporal Richard Warner was born September 1, 1982, and was killed in action on December 13, 2004, in the Babil Province of Iraq by an improvised explosive device; and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner enlisted in the United States Marine Corps with friends Matt Jencen and Jared Hidalgo and served with distinction and honor as a member of the Milwaukee-based Company F, 2nd Battalion, 24th Marine Regiment, 4th Marine Division (Fleet Marine Forces); and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner attended St. Paul Catholic Elementary School in Genesee Depot and later attended Catholic Memorial High School for one year and graduated from Kettle Moraine High School; and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner loved the northwoods of Wisconsin, excelled in sports, and had a passion for cars; and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner had enrolled in and aspired to one day become a helicopter pilot and hoped to one day work for either the FBI or the CIA; and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner will be remembered by his parents, Patrick and Mary Donahue, his sister, Kimberly Warner, his grandparents Isabelle Kaelin and Elda Warner, and his other family and friends for his bravery and courage and will never be forgotten; and
Whereas, LCpl. Warner will also be remembered in honor of his late grandparents Adelrich Kaelin, William Warner, and Donald and Marie Donahue; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the life of Lance Corporal Richard Warner, express their sorrow at his death, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint resolution to the family of LCpl. Richard Warner.
