2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 40
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: recognizing Alexis Deignan for her selection as Miss Wisconsin Preteen.
Whereas, Alexis "Lexie" Deignan is a resident of the city of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and a sixth-grade student at South Middle School in Eau Claire; and
Whereas, the Miss American Coed Pageants were created to "encourage and reinforce the confidence and natural beauty that is within each girl"; and
Whereas, in July 2006 Lexie was crowned Miss Wisconsin Preteen of the Wisconsin American Coed Pageant at Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin; and
Whereas, in November 2006 Lexie represented Wisconsin at the Miss America Preteen pageant at Orlando, Florida, where she had the opportunity to meet many new friends; and
Whereas, Lexie was judged on her commitment to family, academics, and community, as well as her poise, personality, and appearance; and
Whereas, Lexie will hold the title of Miss Wisconsin Preteen until July 2007; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the Wisconsin legislature congratulates Alexis Deignan and her parents, Jim and Lin Deignan, on her accomplishments; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this resolution to the Deignan family.
