2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 53
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and service of Captain Kevin Kryst of the United States Marine Corps, who lost his life during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Whereas, on December 18, 2006, Captain Kevin Kryst, of West Bend, Wisconsin, a member of Marine Light-Attack Helicopter Squadron 267, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, I Marine Expeditionary Force, died while serving his country in Al Anbar province, Iraq; and
Whereas, Captain Kryst proudly and faithfully served the people of the state of Wisconsin and the people of the United States of America with distinction and honor in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom; and
Whereas, the people of Wisconsin mourn the death of Captain Kryst; and
Whereas, Captain Kryst is survived by his parents, Elizabeth and Glenn Kryst, of West Bend, his brothers, Bradley, Justin, Tim, and Daniel, his sister, Jennifer, his fiance, Sara, his maternal grandparents, Sy and Betty Dziak and his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Rita Kryst; and
Whereas, Captain Kryst made the ultimate sacrifice for his country while advancing the cause of freedom for the Iraqi people and will always be remembered for his loyalty; and
Whereas, Captain Kryst was given a Mass of Christian Burial on December 29, 2006, in West Bend and will be laid to rest on July 5, 2007, at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That: the legislature of the state of Wisconsin commemorates the remarkable life of Captain Kevin Kryst, expresses their sorrow at his death, and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to Captain Kryst's parents, Elizabeth and Glenn Kryst, of West Bend, his brothers, Bradley, Justin, Tim, and Daniel, his sister, Jennifer, his fiance, Sara, his maternal grandparents, Sy and Betty Dziak and his paternal grandparents, Clifford and Rita Kryst.
