2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 66
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Norbert DeCleene.
Whereas, Norbert "Nubs" DeCleene, son of LaVerne and Harold DeCleene, and husband of Nancy DeCleene, passed away on Friday, August 10, 2007, after a year and one-half battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis; and
Whereas, Nubs and Nancy DeCleene were married for 25 years and were blessed with 2 children, Somer and Chase; and
Whereas, Nubs served his country in the United States Marine Corps with 2 tours of duty in Vietnam from 1966 to 1968; and
Whereas, Nubs was a proud and active member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224 and the VFW Ashwaubenon Post 10244; and
Whereas, Nubs showed his commitment to his community through an active and devoted political career as Ashwaubenon village president, Ashwaubenon village trustee, and Brown County supervisor; and
Whereas, Nubs initiated and organized the building of the Brown County Veterans Memorial Monument, one of his proudest accomplishments as an elected official; and
Whereas, Nubs leaves behind a lasting legacy and commitment to public service, devotion to God and family, and love of country; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service that Norbert "Nubs" DeCleene contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his passing, and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint resolution to Nubs's wife, Nancy, and his 2 children, Somer and Chase.
