2007 Assembly Joint Resolution 68
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and military service of Corporal Keith A. Nurnberg of the United States Army, who lost his life during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Whereas, on September 5, 2007, Corporal Keith A. Nurnberg, of Genoa City, Wisconsin, a member of the 2nd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, died as a result of wounds received during enemy action in Iraq; and
Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg was a 1999 graduate of McHenry West High School and enlisted in the United States Army in 2003, carrying on the tradition of his great grandfather, who fought in World War I, his grandfather, who fought in World War II, and his father, who fought in the Vietnam War; and
Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg provided faithful and honorable service to the people of the state of Wisconsin and the people of the United States, by serving in his second tour of duty in the Middle East; and
Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg made his family, his friends, and his country extremely proud of his courage and bravery as he made the ultimate sacrifice in service of his nation in fighting for the course of freedom; and
Whereas, Corporal Nurnberg was laid to rest in Pell Lake, Wisconsin, on Saturday, September 15, 2007; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the legislature of the state of Wisconsin commemorates the remarkable life of Corporal Keith A. Nurnberg and extends its deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues; and, be it further
Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall transmit a copy of this joint resolution to Keith Nurnberg's wife, Tonya Nurnberg, to his parents, Alan and Barb Nurnberg, and to his siblings, Christy Hamman, Melissa Tesmer, and Kimmy Nurnberg.
