2007 Senate Joint Resolution 66
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: the life and public service of Lloyd H. Kincaid.
Whereas, Lloyd H. Kincaid was born May 8, 1925 in Fern, Michigan, and died on November 1, 2007, at his home in Crandon, Wisconsin; and
Whereas, the son of Jesse and Nettie Kincaid, Lloyd H. Kincaid graduated from Crandon High School and worked as a cabinetmaker, meat cutter, and grocery businessman; and
Whereas, Lloyd H. Kincaid served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1945; and
Whereas, Lloyd H. Kincaid is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen "Trink" Kincaid, and children David, Jim, John, and Sandy as well as nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and by his sisters and brothers; and
Whereas, Lloyd H. Kincaid was the epitome of a public servant, working as a member of the local technical college board, his city council, and county board; and
Whereas, Lloyd H. Kincaid was first elected to the state assembly in 1972 where he served until he was elected to the state senate in 1983, serving until his retirement in 1990; and
Whereas, as senator, Lloyd H. Kincaid served on a wide range of committees, boards, and commissions, serving the fine people of the 12th Senate District, championing issues of serious interest to his constituents in the areas of tourism, transportation, and natural resources; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted public service Lloyd H. Kincaid contributed to this state and his community, express their sorrow at his death, and extend condolences to his family and friends; and, be it further
Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this resolution to Lloyd H. Kincaid's wife Trink and his four surviving children, David, Jim, John, and Sandy.
