2021 Senate Joint Resolution 98
ENROLLED JOINT RESOLUTION
Relating to: recognizing the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team for their hard work and dedication, resulting in an outstanding season and a Division III National Title.
Whereas, on Saturday, November 20, 2021, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team, for the first time in program history, won the Division III National Title, defeating Calvin University 3-0 in St. Louis, Missouri; and
Whereas, the Blugolds finished the season with a record of 35-3, winning the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference regular season title and the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament title; and
Whereas, the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Athletic Department and campus as a whole fostered a positive environment and tremendous support and encouragement for the success of the women's volleyball team; and
Whereas, the members of the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team worked through immense adversity during the COVID-19 pandemic, but accepted the challenges as an opportunity to learn and grow; now, therefore, be it
Resolved by the
senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the Wisconsin Legislature recognize the 2021 University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire women's volleyball team for their hard work and dedication, resulting in an outstanding season and a Division III National Title.
