AB155,1,2 An Act to create 21.48 (4) of the statutes; relating to: providing bonus payments to members of the national guard and making an appropriation.

This bill provides an annual bonus of $150 to each national guard member who meets the national guard service eligibility criteria and who, during the preceding 12 months, had a perfect attendance record at drills and active training and did not participate in any other bonus, special or incentive pay program, or any educational benefit program, authorized under the state or federal law for national guard members.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do enact as follows:

AB155, s. 1 Section 1. 21.48 (4) of the statutes is created to read:

AB155,2,2 21.48 (4) In addition to the pay that an officer or enlisted person receives under subs. (1) to (3), each officer and enlisted person shall receive a bonus of $150 annually if the person meets the national guard service eligibility criteria established by the department by rule and, during the preceding 12 months, had a perfect attendance record at drills and active training and did not participate in any other bonus, special or incentive pay program, or any educational benefit program, authorized under the state or federal law for national guard members.

AB155, s. 2 Section 2. Appropriation changes; military affairs.

AB155,2,9 (1)  National guard operations. In the schedule under section 20.005 (3) of the statutes for the appropriation to the department of military affairs under section 20.465 (1) (a) of the statutes, as affected by the acts of 1995, the dollar amount is increased by $193,400 for fiscal year 1995-96 and the dollar amount is increased by $193,400 for fiscal year 1996-97 to provide bonus payments to national guard members.
