2certain persons and granting rule-making authority.

Under current law, the department of natural resources (DNR) establishes
fishing seasons by rule. This bill specifically authorizes DNR to establish fishing
seasons, in urban areas, that allow fishing only by persons who are under 16 years
old or who are disabled and receive social security, supplemental security income or
other types of federal disability benefits.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB168, s. 1 3Section 1. 29.174 (2) (g) of the statutes is created to read:
AB168,1,74 29.174 (2) (g) The department may establish a fishing season in certain urban
5areas, as determined by rule by the department, that allows fishing only by persons
6who are under 16 years old or who are disabled and can produce the evidence
7specified in s. 29.145 (1c) (b) or the evidence specified in s. 29.145 (1c) (c).
