1995 - 1996 LEGISLATURE
January 26, 1995 - Introduced by Representatives Baumgart, Harsdorf, Wilder,
Skindrud, Goetsch, Musser, Nass, Handrick
and Otte, cosponsored by
Senator Darling. Referred to Committee on Government Operations.
AB46,1,2 1An Act to amend 84.02 (5) (c) of the statutes; relating to: distribution of folded
2state highway maps to officers and members of the legislature.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Currently, the department of transportation (DOT) periodically publishes
folded state highway maps. DOT is required to distribute without charge 500 of
these maps to each officer and member of the legislature. Any officer or member may
request any number of additional maps, which DOT is required to provide without
charge.
This bill deletes the automatic distribution of 500 folded state highway maps
to each officer and member of the legislature. The bill still permits each officer and
member to request any number of maps, which DOT is required to provide without
charge.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB46, s. 1 3Section 1. 84.02 (5) (c) of the statutes is amended to read:
