AB464,1,3 1An Act to amend 118.29 (title) and 118.29 (5) of the statutes; relating to: the
2performance of medical procedures by school district employes who are not
3health care prefessionals.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, no school district employe who is not a health care
professional may be required to administer a drug to a pupil by any means other than
ingestion.
This bill provides that no employe except a health care professional may be
required to perform any other medical procedure except as specified in the person's
employment contract.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB464, s. 2 7Section 2. 118.29 (5) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB464,2,38 118.29 (5) Exemption. No employe except a health care professional may be
9required to administer a drug or prescription drug to a pupil under this section by

1any means other than ingestion. No employe except a health care professional may
2be required to perform any other medical procedure except as specified in his or her
3employment contract.
