AB491,1,3 1An Act to amend chapter 213 (title); and to create 213.105 and 213.106 of the
2statutes; relating to: designation of a State Fire Fighters Memorial and a
3State Police and Fire Fighters Hall of Fame.

This bill designates the city of Wisconsin Rapids as the official site of the State
Fire Fighters Memorial to honor all fire fighters of this state who have given their
lives in the public service. Currently, there is no official site for such a memorial.
The bill also designates the Old Firehouse Police and Fire Museum in the city
of Superior as the official site of the State Police and Fire Fighters Hall of Fame.
Currently, there is no official site for such a hall of fame.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB491, s. 2 8Section 2. 213.105 of the statutes is created to read:
AB491,1,11 9213.105 State Fire Fighters Memorial. The State Fire Fighters Memorial,
10located in the city of Wisconsin Rapids, is designated the official memorial to honor
11all fire fighters of this state who have given their lives in the public service.

1Section 3. 213.106 of the statutes is created to read:
AB491,2,5 2213.106 State Police and Fire Fighters Hall of Fame. The Old Firehouse
3Police and Fire Museum, located in the city of Superior, is designated the official hall
4of fame to honor police officers and fire fighters of this state for their dedicated public
5service.
