1An Act to amend 36.11 (3) (b), 36.11 (3) (cm) 1. and 36.11 (3) (cm) 4. of the
2statutes;
relating to: the transfer of credits between centers and institutions
3within the University of Wisconsin System.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law directs the board of regents of the University of Wisconsin (UW)
System to establish policies for the appropriate transfer of credits between
institutions within the system.
This bill provides that, upon the transfer of a student within the system, the
center or institution in which the student is enrolled must grant credit toward
graduation for any course successfully completed at the center or institution from
which the student transferred.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

7courses which shall be transferable between and within institutions without loss of 8ensure that, upon the transfer of a student within the system, the center or
9institution in which the student is enrolled grants credit toward graduation

1toward completion of a specific course of study for any course successfully completed
2at the center or institution from which the student transferred.
