2a pupil's locker.

This bill authorizes a school official, employe or agent to search a pupil's locker
for any reason, at any time, without the consent of the pupil, without notifying the
pupil and without obtaining a search warrant if the school board has adopted a writ
ten policy specifying that the school board retains ownership and possessory control
of all pupil lockers and has distributed a copy of the policy to each pupil enrolled in
the school district.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB910, s. 1 3Section 1. 118.325 of the statutes is created to read:
AB910,1,9 4118.325 Locker searches. An official, employe or agent of a school or school
5district may search a pupil's locker for any reason, at any time, without the consent
6of the pupil, without notifying the pupil and without obtaining a search warrant if
7the school board has adopted a written policy specifying that the school board retains
8ownership and possessory control of all pupil lockers and has distributed a copy of
9the policy to each pupil enrolled in the school district.
