AJR67,1,63 Whereas, Bruce Feustel has assumed a challenging new position with the
4National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver after more than 20 years of
5distinguished service as an attorney in the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau;
6and
AJR67,1,87 Whereas, during his long tenure at the LRB, Bruce became a master in the
8difficult subjects of criminal law, corrections and the courts; and
AJR67,1,109 Whereas, Bruce used his mastery of those subjects to provide wise counsel to
10many dozens of legislators; and
AJR67,1,1411 Whereas, Bruce also became an expert drafter and was able to use his
12considerable verbal and analytical abilities to produce legislation that accurately
13reflected his requesters' intent, regardless of the complexity of the tasks that they
14assigned him; and
AJR67,2,215 Whereas, Bruce performed for the LRB many other valuable services, such as
16training inexperienced attorneys, aiding in the evaluation of prospective employes,

1providing counsel to the LRB's managers, and serving as a liaison to other state
2agencies; and
AJR67,2,43 Whereas, dozens of former and present LRB employes owe Bruce gratitude for
4his unflagging friendship, his humanity, and his sensitivity to their needs; and
AJR67,2,75 Whereas, Bruce has been active in the National Conference of State
6Legislatures: training attorneys, presiding over the legal services staff section, and
7serving as a member of the executive committee; and
AJR67,2,108 Whereas, Bruce has also actively participated in the Madison community by
9counseling victims of childhood abuse, volunteering for the parental stress hotline
10and helping to organize and administer running events; and
AJR67,2,1211 Whereas, Bruce's concern for his family, friends, colleagues and others has
12made him a model for many to emulate; now, therefore, be it
AJR67,2,16 13Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
14legislature of the state of Wisconsin express their heartfelt gratitude to Bruce
15Feustel for his many years of excellent and conscientious service to them and to the
16Legislative Reference Bureau and wish him well; and, be it further
AJR67,2,18 17Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
18resolution to Bruce Feustel.
