AJR72,1,32 Whereas, Gerald K. Anderson was born on April 26, 1921, in the town of
3Waupaca and died on November 3, 1995, in Waupaca; and
AJR72,1,54 Whereas, he received a B.A. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison
5in 1942 and a LL.B. degree from that university in 1948; and
AJR72,1,66 Whereas, he served in the U.S. armed forces in World War II; and
AJR72,1,97 Whereas, after he completed his education he practiced law and was the
8attorney for Manawa from 1948 to 1960 and Waupaca County district attorney from
91954 to 1960, from 1962 to 1964 and from 1971 to 1980; and
AJR72,1,1110 Whereas, Mr. Anderson was elected to the assembly in 1964 and reelected in
111966; and
AJR72,1,1512 Whereas, he was a member of, and later chairperson of, the Judiciary
13Committee and also served on the Contingent Expenditures Committee, the
14Veterans and Military Affairs Committee and the Legislative Council Judiciary
15Committee; now, therefore, be it
AJR72,2,3 16Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
17legislature of the state of Wisconsin salute the many decades of devoted and effective

1public service that Gerald K. Anderson performed for the people of this state, express
2their sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and,
3be it further
AJR72,2,6 4Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
5resolution to Mr. Anderson's wife, Betty, and to his daughters: Mary Beth Anderson,
6Kaye E. Anderson and Jill A. Anderson.
