AJR78,1,32 Whereas, Cyndy Lent completed 509 holes of golf in a 24-hour period on August
37 and 8, 1994, at the Twin Lakes Country Club in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin; and
AJR78,1,54 Whereas, she played the golf marathon to benefit the American Cancer Society,
5Kenosha West Unit, raising approximately $5,000 in pledges; and
AJR78,1,86 Whereas, in the process of raising money, she broke the women's world record
7for most holes played in 24 hours with the use of a cart and appears in the 1996
8Guinness Book of Records
; and
AJR78,1,119 Whereas, the 509 holes she completed were the equivalent of 28 18-hole
10rounds, plus 5 additional holes, and she shot a 3,131, using a number 3 wood the
11entire time; and
AJR78,1,1412 Whereas, this was Cyndy's 9th year performing in the Longest Day of Golf for
13the American Cancer Society, and she has raised more than $27,000 in previous
14years; now, therefore, be it
AJR78,2,2 15Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
16legislature of the state of Wisconsin congratulate Cyndy Lent on her world record

1and commend her for her dedication to the American Cancer Society; and, be it
