AJR79,1,1 Relating to: proclaiming Economic Development Partnership Week.

AJR79,1,4 Whereas, pride, productivity and a dynamic partnership between the public and private sectors are important resources for economic development in Wisconsin; and

AJR79,1,7 Whereas, more than 525,000 jobs have been created in Wisconsin since late 1985 and jobs continue to be created in the state at one and one-half times the national average; and

AJR79,1,10 Whereas, the unemployment rate in Wisconsin has been below the national average for 90 consecutive months and the state consistently ranks among the nation's 10 top states in employment statistics; and

AJR79,1,12 Whereas, personal income of the citizens of Wisconsin grew twice as fast as inflation in 1994, which was the 10th highest in the nation; and

AJR79,1,15 Whereas, Wisconsin's favorable business climate, outstanding quality of life, abundant natural resources and well-developed infrastructure make the state an attractive place for business growth; and

AJR79,2,2 Whereas, local officials, business and industry leaders, economic development professionals, educators and other people promoting Wisconsin and its communities continue to seek innovative ways to work together to build a strong and healthy state; now, therefore, be it

AJR79,2,5 Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the legislature of the state of Wisconsin recognize February 12 to 17, 1996, as "Economic Development Partnership Week" in the state of Wisconsin.
