AJR79,1,42 Whereas, pride, productivity and a dynamic partnership between the public
3and private sectors are important resources for economic development in Wisconsin;
4and
AJR79,1,75 Whereas, more than 525,000 jobs have been created in Wisconsin since late
61985 and jobs continue to be created in the state at one and one-half times the
7national average; and
AJR79,1,108 Whereas, the unemployment rate in Wisconsin has been below the national
9average for 90 consecutive months and the state consistently ranks among the
10nation's 10 top states in employment statistics; and
AJR79,1,1211 Whereas, personal income of the citizens of Wisconsin grew twice as fast as
12inflation in 1994, which was the 10th highest in the nation; and
AJR79,1,1513 Whereas, Wisconsin's favorable business climate, outstanding quality of life,
14abundant natural resources and well-developed infrastructure make the state an
15attractive place for business growth; and
AJR79,2,216 Whereas, local officials, business and industry leaders, economic development
17professionals, educators and other people promoting Wisconsin and its communities

1continue to seek innovative ways to work together to build a strong and healthy state;
2now, therefore, be it
AJR79,2,5 3Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
4legislature of the state of Wisconsin recognize February 12 to 17, 1996, as "Economic
5Development Partnership Week" in the state of Wisconsin.
