AJR80,1,42 Whereas, Everett Haskell was born on September 19, 1920, in Manchester,
3South Dakota, and, at the age of 2, moved to Beloit, where he resided until his death
4on December 7, 1995; and
AJR80,1,55 Whereas, he was first elected to the Beloit City Council in 1960; and
AJR80,1,76 Whereas, he served the community as a member of the city council with great
7distinction and perfect attendance for over 30 years; and
AJR80,1,88 Whereas, he was elected city council president 10 times; and
AJR80,1,109 Whereas, his life has been an example of caring and unselfish service; now,
10therefore, be it
AJR80,1,14 11Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
12legislature of the state of Wisconsin salute Everett Haskell's remarkable record of
13public service, express their deep sorrow at his death and extend their condolences
14to his family, his friends and the community; and, be it further

1Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
2resolution to Everett Haskell's wife, Diana, and to his daughters, Jenny Clanton and
3Amy Russell.
