1An Act to amend 121.02 (1) (i) of the statutes;
relating to: the safety of school
2facilities, events and transportation.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law requires each school board to provide safe and healthful facilities.
This bill requires, in addition, that each school board ensure that facilities,
school-related events and school-related transportation be provided in a manner
that is completely safe for both pupils and adults.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 121.02 (1) (i) of the statutes is amended to read:

(1) (i) Provide safe and healthful facilities.
The school board shall
5ensure that facilities, school-related events and school-related transportation are
6provided in a manner that is completely safe for both pupils and adults. The facilities
7shall comply with ss. 254.11 to 254.178 and any rule promulgated under those
8sections.
