SJR38,1,42 Whereas, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the National
3Coalition Against Domestic Violence observe October as Domestic Violence
4Awareness Month; and
SJR38,1,95 Whereas, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence and the National
6Coalition Against Domestic Violence, by observing Domestic Violence Awareness
7Month, seek to further greater awareness of the incidence of violence in the home,
8focusing on the victims of domestic violence and their children who have suffered
9emotional and physical abuse; and
SJR38,1,1210 Whereas, the achievements of those working to end domestic violence
11throughout the state and the nation, together with the continuing efforts of this state
12to address and serve victims of domestic violence, are to be celebrated; and
SJR38,1,1513 Whereas, through the inspiration, courage and persistence of victims of
14domestic violence, their children and advocates, legislation has been enacted to
15provide protection and services for those victims and their children; and
SJR38,2,316 Whereas, the Wisconsin legislature, government officials, social services
17agencies, religious organizations, educational institutions, health care providers

1and funding agencies are joining in the effort to promote an awareness of the
2incidence of domestic violence and to provide services for its victims; now, therefore,
3be it
SJR38,2,5 4Resolved by the senate, the Assembly concurring, That October is
5proclaimed "Domestic Violence Awareness Month" in this state.
