SJR55,1,43 Whereas, participation in the electoral process is a right and a privilege of all
4Americans; and
SJR55,1,55 Whereas, free elections are the foundation of our American democracy; and
SJR55,1,76 Whereas, citizens of the United States are encouraged to actively participate
7in the electoral process as a means of exercising the principles of democracy; and
SJR55,1,98 Whereas, citizens are encouraged to participate through voting and serving as
9elections inspectors; and
SJR55,1,1110 Whereas, elections inspectors act so as to promote and maintain order at polling
11sites; and
SJR55,1,1312 Whereas, elections inspectors promote fair and legitimate polling of electors;
13and
SJR55,1,1514 Whereas, a citizen should be encouraged to participate in the electoral process,
15such as by serving as an elections inspector; now, therefore, be it
SJR55,2,2 16Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
17Wisconsin legislature, in accordance with Wisconsin statute 7.33 (3), encourage

1employers in the state of Wisconsin to promote the participation of employes in the
2electoral process through their service as elections inspectors.
