3rule-making authority.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Current law restricts the use of a flashing white strobe light to school buses.
This bill allows a human service vehicle to be equipped with a flashing white strobe
light. Human service vehicles are certain vehicles that are used to transport elderly
or disabled persons. The bill requires the secretary to prescribe rules for the type,
installation, operation and light output brilliance of these strobe lights.
For further information see the state fiscal estimate, which will be printed as
an appendix to this bill.
