2billing practices by cable television companies.

Under this bill, a cable television service provider may not impose on a
subscriber a charge or administrative fee if the subscriber requests that the cable
service provider reduce the level of service received by the subscriber.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB641, s. 1 3Section 1. 134.42 (2) (f) of the statutes is created to read:
AB641,1,64 134.42 (2) (f) A cable operator may not impose on a subscriber a charge or
5administrative fee of any kind if the subscriber requests that the cable operator
6reduce the level of service received by the subscriber.
AB641, s. 2 7Section 2. Initial applicability.

1(1) This act first applies to service level reduction requests that are made on
2the effective date of this subsection.
