Current rules promulgated by the department of natural resources restrict the
types and locations of bait that can be placed for the hunting of wild animals. This
bill prohibits the placement of any bait for the purpose of hunting deer during any
season that is open to the hunting of deer with firearms.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB870,1,4 329.235 Hunting deer with bait prohibited. No person may place bait for
4the purpose of hunting deer during any season open to hunting of deer with firearms.
