AB964,1,2 1An Act to amend 120.13 (35) (a); and to create 120.13 (35) (am) of the statutes;
2relating to: allowing school board members to enter or remain in classes.

Current law provides that a school board may adopt rules applicable to persons
who enter or remain in a building operated by the school board. This bill provides
that one or more school board members may enter or remain in a class unless the
school principal determines that the presence of the school board member or
members clearly endangers the health or safety of the people in the class or unduly
disrupts instruction.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB964, s. 1 3Section 1. 120.13 (35) (a) of the statutes is amended to read:
AB964,2,24 120.13 (35) (a) A Subject to par. (am), school board may adopt rules applicable
5to persons who enter or remain in a building operated by the school board, including
6requirements that such persons identify themselves and sign in when entering or
7remaining in the building or any specified portion of the building and designating

1time periods during which such persons may enter or remain in the building or any
2portion of the building.
AB964, s. 2 3Section 2. 120.13 (35) (am) of the statutes is created to read:

5a class unless the school principal determines that the presence of the school board
6member or members clearly endangers the health or safety of the people in the class
7or unduly disrupts instruction.
