AJR63,1,32 Whereas, Richard Lynch was born in Milwaukee on June 11, 1921, and died in
3Milwaukee on May 30, 1997; and
AJR63,1,44 Whereas, Mr. Lynch was a graduate of West Allis High School; and
AJR63,1,65 Whereas, Mr. Lynch served for 3 years and 3 months overseas in the U.S. army
6during World War II; and
AJR63,1,77 Whereas, he was elected to the assembly in 1962, 1964 and 1966; and
AJR63,1,108 Whereas, during his tenure in the assembly he served on the Excise and Fees
9Committee, the Highways Committee and the Committee on Municipalities and was
10the secretary of the Legislative Council Highway Advisory Committee; and
AJR63,1,1211 Whereas, Mr. Lynch also served for 32 years in the Milwaukee County Sheriff's
12Department; now, therefore, be it
AJR63,1,17 13Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
14Wisconsin legislature commend the many decades of public service that Richard
15Lynch provided to the residents of Milwaukee County and this state, express their
16sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his family and friends; and, be
17it further

1Resolved That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
2resolution to Mr. Lynch's wife, Beverly, and to his children; Larry Lynch, Jerry Lynch,
3Marilyn Colegrove, Colleen Lemberg, Robin Gilgenbach, David Klaves and Lisa
4Klien.
