AR10,1,1 1Relating to: denouncing the hate-filled message of the Ku Klux Klan.
AR10,1,32 Whereas, Beloit, Wisconsin, is a city with a long history of ethnic and racial
3harmony and diversity and has been named "An All American City"; and
AR10,1,64 Whereas, the Wisconsin chapter of the Ku Klux Klan plans to hold a rally in
5Beloit on December 6, 1997, to spread its racist, homophobic, and anti-Semitic
6messages; and
AR10,1,87 Whereas, the purpose of the rally is to seek publicity for its message of
8intolerance, to breed animosity, and to divide the community; and
AR10,1,109 Whereas, the Coalition of Concerned Citizens of Beloit will hold a unity rally
10on December 6, 1997; and
AR10,1,1311 Whereas, the unity rally, recognizing "We're All in This Together", will provide
12a forum for citizens who reject hate group tactics and embrace the strength that
13comes from diversity; now, therefore, be it
AR10,1,15 14Resolved by the assembly, That the assembly hereby denounces the
15hate-filled messages of the Ku Klux Klan; and, be it further

1Resolved, That the assembly commends the Coalition of Concerned Citizens
2of Beloit and its efforts to build bridges of brotherhood, understanding and mutual
3respect.
