SB107,1,2 1An Act to amend 15.94 (4) of the statutes; relating to: the term of the student
2member of the state technical college board.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Currently, one member of the technical college system board must be a student
enrolled at least half-time and in good academic standing at a technical college who
is at least 18 years old and a resident of this state. The student member is appointed
for a 2-year term.
This bill provides that the student member does not cease to be a member of the
board if he or she graduates during his or her term.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB107, s. 1 3Section 1. 15.94 (4) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB107,2,24 15.94 (4) One student enrolled at least half-time and in good academic
5standing at a technical college who is at least 18 years old and a resident of this state,
6for a 2-year term. The governor may not appoint a student member from the same
7technical college in any 2 consecutive terms. If the student member loses the status

1upon which the appointment was based, other than through graduation, he or she
2shall cease to be a member of the board.
