SB126,1,2 1An Act to amend 121.15 (1) (a), 121.15 (1) (b), 121.15 (1) (c) and 121.15 (1) (e)
2of the statutes; relating to: the school aid distribution schedule.

Under current law, each school district receives 15% of its total aid entitlement
in September, 25% in December, 25% in March and 35% in June. Under this bill, each
school district receives its aid entitlement in 10 equal payments from September to
June.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB126, s. 1 3Section 1. 121.15 (1) (a), (b), (c) and (e) of the statutes are amended to read:
SB126,1,74 121.15 (1) (a) Each school district shall receive 15% 10% of its total aid
5entitlement in September, 25% of its total aid entitlement in December, 25% of its
6total aid entitlement in March and 35% of its total aid entitlement in
each month
7from September to
June.

1(b) For the September payment and October payments, the total aid
2entitlement for each school district shall be estimated based upon the total aid
3payment in the previous school year.
SB126,2,64 (c) For the payments from December November to June, the total aid
5entitlement for each school district shall be computed on the basis of the budget and
6membership report under s. 121.05.
SB126,2,107 (e) Payments under this subsection shall be made on the 3rd Monday of the
8month, except that payment
shall be made on the first Monday of the month for the
9December payment, on the 3rd Monday of the month for the September and June
10payments
and on the 4th Monday of the month for the March payment.
