1An Act to create 16.72 (8) of the statutes;
relating to: stationery utilized by
2state agencies for outside correspondence.

This bill directs the department of administration to ensure that each state
agency includes on its stationery utilized for correspondence outside the agency at
least one telephone number where the agency may be contacted, and at least one
facsimile transmission (fax) number for the agency, if the agency has such a number.
The bill also provides that an agency which, on the day the bill becomes law, has in
its possession or on order stationery that is not in compliance with this requirement
may continue to use that stationery until its supply is exhausted.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

1. 16.72 (8) of the statutes is created to read:

7transmission number for the agency, if the agency has such a number.

(1) Notwithstanding section 16.72 (8) of the statutes, as created by this act, an
3agency which, on the effective date of this subsection, has in its possession or has
4committed to purchase stationery which does not comply with section 16.72 (8) of the
5statutes, as created by this act, may continue to utilize that stationery until its
6supply is exhausted.
