SB446,1,2 1An Act to amend 29.557 (3) of the statutes; relating to: hunting of small game
2in state parks and granting rule-making authority.

Under current law, a person may hunt deer or wild turkey in a given state park
if the department of natural resources (DNR) has authorized by rule the hunting of
that type of game in that state park and if the person has the required hunting license
and any other permit or stamp that may be required. Under this bill, a person may
also hunt a species of small game in a given state park if DNR has authorized the
hunting by rule and if the persons have the required hunting license and any other
required permit or stamp.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB446, s. 1 3Section 1. 29.557 (3) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB446,2,24 29.557 (3) A person may hunt deer or, wild turkeys or small game in a state
5park, or in a portion of a state park, designated by if the department has authorized
6by rule, for that type of the hunting of that type of game in the state park, or in the

1portion of the state park, and
if the person holds the approvals required under this
2chapter for hunting that type of hunting game.
