AB564,1,2 1An Act to create 118.135 of the statutes; relating to: providing a public school
2for a pupil that is accessible by the pupil's disabled parent.

This bill provides that, upon the request of a parent or guardian who has a
disability that makes it difficult or impossible for the person to gain access to the
public school attended by his or her child or ward, the school board must allow the
person to choose for the child or ward a public school that is more easily accessible
by the person.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB564, s. 1 3Section 1. 118.135 of the statutes is created to read:
AB564,2,2 4118.135 Disabled parent or guardian; choice of school. Upon the request
5of a parent or guardian who has a disability that makes it difficult or impossible for
6the person to gain access to the public school attended by his or her child or ward,
7the school board shall allow the parent or guardian to choose for the child or ward

1a public school in the school district that is more easily accessible by the parent or
2guardian.
