2Department of Workforce Development.
AJR108,1,53 Whereas, Jean Rogers began her distinguished career in public service as the
4administrator for the Division of Administrative Services at the Wisconsin
5Department of Administration in January 1987; and
AJR108,1,86 Whereas, her abilities as a skilled administrator led her to become the
7administrator of the Division of Economic Support in the Department of Health and
8Social Services in October 1991; and
AJR108,1,119 Whereas, in this capacity, she was instrumental in the transformation of the
10state's Aid to Families with Dependent Children program to Wisconsin Works, which
11has been recognized as a national model for welfare reform; and
AJR108,1,1512 Whereas, her professionalism, skill and personal sacrifices have led to the
13remarkable success of the Wisconsin Works program, which offers independence,
14hope and opportunity for thousands of former Aid to Families with Dependent
15Children recipients; and

1Whereas, she has gained the respect and admiration of colleagues and
2legislators for her honesty, integrity and willingness to make changes to the
3Wisconsin Works program that are in the best interests of its participants; now,
4therefore, be it
AJR108,2,10 5Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
6Wisconsin legislature congratulate Jean Rogers for her outstanding public service,
7commend the distinguished service she has rendered to them and to the citizens of
8the state and extend to her their best wishes for her continued success as the
9Northwest regional manager in the Division of the Vocational Rehabilitation; and,
10be it further
AJR108,2,12 11Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
12resolution to Jean Rogers.
