AJR53,1,42 Whereas, service to one's country as a member of the armed services is a noble
3calling, entered into by people of incredible courage, patriotism and commitment;
4and
AJR53,1,75 Whereas, Kevin L. Reichert of Chetek, Wisconsin, joined the United States Air
6Force in 1988, soon after graduating from Chetek High School, where he received the
7American Tradition Award for patriotism from the American Legion; and
AJR53,1,108 Whereas, 3 years ago, Kevin transferred to the United States Army so that he
9could fly Apache helicopters, and he became Chief Warrant Officer Second Class in
10the 6th Cavalry Regiment stationed in Germany; and
AJR53,1,1311 Whereas, on May 5, 1999, Kevin Reichert and his colleague, David A. Gibb of
12Ohio, lost their lives in a helicopter crash during night training exercises over
13mountainous terrain in northeastern Albania; now, therefore, be it

1Resolved by the assembly, the senate concurring, That the members of the
2Wisconsin legislature commend the devoted service that Kevin L. Reichert gave to
3his country, express their sorrow at his death and extend their condolences to his
4family and friends; and, be it further
AJR53,2,7 5Resolved, That the assembly chief clerk shall provide copies of this joint
6resolution to Mr. Reichert's wife, Ridgeley; to his 3 children; and to his mother, Flo
7Reichert.
