SB323,1,2 1An Act to amend 15.405 (5g) of the statutes; relating to: membership of the
2controlled substances board.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the controlled substances board consists of one psychiatrist,
one pharmacologist and the following persons or their designees: the attorney
general; the secretary of health and family services; the secretary of agriculture,
trade and consumer protection; and the chairperson of the pharmacy examining
board. Under this bill, the chairpersons of the board of nursing and the medical
examining board, or their designees, are also members of the board.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB323, s. 1 3Section 1. 15.405 (5g) of the statutes is amended to read:
SB323,2,44 15.405 (5g) Controlled substances board. There is created in the department
5of regulation and licensing a controlled substances board consisting of the attorney
6general, the secretary of health and family services and the secretary of agriculture,

1trade and consumer protection, or their designees; the chairperson chairpersons of
2the pharmacy examining board, the board of nursing and the medical examining
3board,
or a designee their designees; and one psychiatrist and one pharmacologist
4appointed for 3-year terms.
