AB150,1,2 1An Act relating to: salary reductions for state senators and representatives to
2the assembly during the 2005-2006 legislature.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill provides that the annual salary of each representative to the assembly
and each state senator whose term of office begins on January 3, 2005, shall be paid
an annual salary of $44,233 during the 2005-2006 legislature. Currently, during the
2003-2004 legislature, each representative to the assembly and each state senator
whose term of office begins on January 6, 2003, is paid an annual salary of $45,569.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB150, s. 1 3Section 1. Nonstatutory provisions.
AB150,1,54 (1) Annual salaries for state senators and representatives to the assembly
5during the 2005-2006 legislature.
AB150,2,46 (a) Subject to paragraph (b), notwithstanding section 20.923 (2) (b) of the
7statutes and any action of the secretary of employment relations or the joint

1committee on employment relations relating to establishing the annual salary of
2each state senator and each representative to the assembly, the annual salary of each
3state senator and representative to the assembly during the 2005-2006 legislature
4shall be reduced to $44,233.
AB150,2,75 (b) Paragraph (a) does not apply to the annual salary of any state senator that,
6under article IV, section 26, of the constitution, may not be reduced during the
72005-2006 legislature.
