AB410,1,3 1An Act to create 45.35 (20) of the statutes; relating to: programs to encourage
2businesses to support and provide discounts to veterans and members of the

This bill requires the Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA), in cooperation
with the Department of Military Affairs (DMA), to administer a program that
encourages and provides public recognition to private businesses that show
exceptional support for veterans, members of the national guard, and members of the
U.S. reserves. In addition, the bill requires DVA, in cooperation with DMA, to
administer a program that encourages and provides public recognition to merchants
who agree to give discounts on products and services to veterans, members of the
national guard, and members of the U.S. reserves.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB410, s. 1 4Section 1. 45.35 (20) of the statutes is created to read:
AB410,2,35 45.35 (20) Recognition of supporting businesses. (a) The department, in
6cooperation with the department of military affairs, shall create and administer a

1program that encourages, identifies, and provides public recognition to private
2businesses that show exceptional support for veterans, members of the national
3guard, and members of a reserve unit of the U.S. armed forces.
AB410,2,84 (b) The department, in cooperation with the department of military affairs,
5shall create and administer a program that encourages, identifies, and provides
6public recognition to merchants who agree to give discounts for products or services
7to veterans, members of the national guard, and members of a reserve unit of the U.S.
8armed forces.
