AB785,1,3 1An Act to create 46.03 (44) of the statutes; relating to: requiring provision of
2a Web site with information on the 50 most commonly prescribed prescription

Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
This bill requires that the Department of Health and Family Services (DHFS)
provide a Web site, and update the Web site monthly, with information on the
highest, lowest, and average retail prices of each of the 50 prescription drugs that are
most commonly prescribed in this state. DHFS must also provide this information,
in writing, to any person upon request.

an appendix to this bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB785, s. 1 4Section 1. 46.03 (44) of the statutes is created to read:
AB785,1,65 46.03 (44) Prescription drug Web site. (a) In this subsection, "prescription
6drug" has the meaning given in s. 450.01 (20).

1(b) The department shall provide a Web site where consumers may obtain
2information on the highest, lowest, and average retail prices of each of the 50
3prescription drugs that are most commonly prescribed in this state. The department
4shall update the Web site information at least monthly.
AB785,2,65 (c) The department shall provide to any person, upon request, a written copy
6of the information specified in par. (b).
