AB802,1,2 1An Act to create 84.04 (4) of the statutes; relating to: the display of POW/MIA
2flags at certain Department of Transportation rest areas.
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the Department of Transportation (DOT) may construct and
maintain rest areas along state trunk highways, including interstate highways.
This bill requires DOT to display a POW/MIA flag at any DOT rest area along an
interstate highway.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
AB802, s. 1 3Section 1. 84.04 (4) of the statutes is created to read:
AB802,1,64 84.04 (4) At each rest area constructed or maintained by the department along
5an interstate highway designated under s. 84.29 (2), the department shall
6permanently display a POW/MIA flag.
