AB891,1,2 1An Act to create 450.11 (4) (a) 8. of the statutes; relating to: disclosure of retail
2prices on prescription labels.

Current law requires labels on containers of prescribed drugs or devices to
disclose certain information, including the name and address of the practitioner who
prescribed the drug or device, the date on which the prescription was dispensed, the
name of the patient, and directions for the use of the drug or device. A pharmacist
who dispenses a prescribed drug or device with a label that does not include the
required information is subject to a fine of not more than $500 or imprisonment for
not more than six months or both.
This bill requires container labels to also disclose the retail price of the drug or
device that is prescribed.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

AB891,1,44 450.11 (4) (a) 8. The retail price of the drug or device.
AB891, s. 2 5Section 2. Effective date.

1(1) This act takes effect on the first day of the 4th month beginning after
2publication.
