SB291,1,5 1An Act to renumber and amend 13.91 (2) (f); and to create 13.91 (2) (e) of the
2statutes; relating to: Legislative Council staff director attendance at certain
3midwest and national meetings in which the Commission on Uniform State
4Laws participates (suggested as remedial legislation by the Legislative Council
5staff).
Analysis by the Legislative Reference Bureau
Under current law, the director of the Legislative Council staff must attend,
personally or through a professional employee of the Legislative Council staff
designated by him or her, all meetings of the Commission on Uniform State Laws and
any midwest and national meetings in which the commission participates. This bill
provides that the director must attend only such meetings that will benefit the
operations of the Legislative Council staff.

The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:

Law Revision Committee prefatory note: This bill is a remedial legislation
proposal, requested by the Legislative Council staff and introduced by the Law Revision
Committee under s. 13.83 (1) (c) 4., stats. After careful consideration of the various
provisions of the bill, the Law Revision Committee has determined that this bill makes
minor substantive changes in the statutes, and that these changes are desirable as a
matter of public policy.
SB291, s. 1 1Section 1. 13.91 (2) (e) of the statutes is created to read:
SB291,2,52 13.91 (2) (e) Attend and participate in, personally or through a designated
3employee of the legislative council staff, midwest and national meetings in which the
4commission on uniform state laws participates and that will benefit the operations
5of the legislative council staff.
SB291, s. 2 6Section 2. 13.91 (2) (f) of the statutes is renumbered 13.91 (2) (d) and amended
7to read:
