SB561,1,5 1An Act relating to: amending and revising under section 10.53 of the statutes
2various provisions of sections 10.62 to 10.82 of the statutes for the purpose of
3correcting conflicts between the listings in sections 10.62 to 10.82 of the
4statutes and the substantive statutes to which those sections refer (Revisor's
5Correction Bill).

This bill confirms changes made by the revisor of statutes under section 10.53
of the statutes and included in the printed 2001-2002 Wisconsin Statutes. The
individual changes made by this revisor's correction bill are explained in the Notes
provided by the revisor of statutes in the body of the bill.
The people of the state of Wisconsin, represented in senate and assembly, do
enact as follows:
SB561, s. 1 6Section 1. 10.66 (4) (n) 1. of the statutes is amended to read:
SB561,2,47 10.66 (4) (n) 1. On the Monday before the spring primary the municipal clerk
8publishes a type B notice whenever a primary for municipal offices or a municipal

1referendum is scheduled. A type B notice is also published if the municipality utilizes
2voting machines or an electronic voting system employing a ballot card or label in
3which ballots are distributed to electors
. If there is a spring primary, municipal
4clerks also publish a type D notice on this date. See s. 10.06 (3) (b), (d), and (e).

SB561, s. 2 5Section 2. 10.66 (4) (o) (title) of the statutes is created to read:

SB561, s. 8 5Section 8. 10.76 (4) (f) 4. of the statutes is amended to read:

7clerk publishes type B and D notices for the primary. If voting machines or electronic
8voting systems employing a ballot card or label in which ballots are distributed to
9electors
are used in the municipality, the type B notice shall include all offices to be
10voted on at the primary. See s. ss. 10.01 (2) (d) and 10.06 (3) (e).

Clarifies the "notice" referred to. Adds cross-reference to indicate authority for giving
the type D notice.
