SJR49,1,32 Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin, on
3September 10, 1971; and
SJR49,1,5 4Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was a graduate of Victory Christian High
5School on Silver Lake in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin, in 1991; and
SJR49,1,7 6Whereas, on October 22, 1991, Christopher Glenn Mueller made a sacrifice to
7protect and serve the citizens of this nation by joining the United States Navy; and
SJR49,1,9 8Whereas, he successfully completed rigorous training to become a member of
9the United States Navy SEALS in 1994; and
SJR49,1,12 10Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller served as a Navy SEAL for 3 years before
11leaving the United States Navy with a rank of gunners mate first class petty officer;

SJR49,1,1413 Whereas, he was honored with the medals of Good Conduct and National
14Defense Service; and

1Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller received a degree from the University of
2California-San Diego's Revelle College in 2002; and
SJR49,2,4 3Whereas, after leaving the United States Navy, Christopher went to work for
4the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA); and
SJR49,2,6 5Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller was sent on a mission to track down
6terrorists in one of the most dangerous segments of Afghanistan; and
SJR49,2,87 Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller died in action on October 25, 2003,
8fighting the war on terrorism; and
SJR49,2,11 9Whereas, Christopher Glenn Mueller has earned the respect and grateful
10thanks from the citizens of Wisconsin, this senate, and the United States of America,
11which he defended; now, therefore, be it
SJR49,2,15 12Resolved by the senate, the assembly concurring, That the members of the
13Wisconsin legislature commend and honor the life of Christopher Glenn Mueller, and
14express our appreciation for his sacrifice on behalf of the citizens of this nation; and,
15be it further
SJR49,2,17 16Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this joint
17resolution to the family of Christopher Glenn Mueller.
