2003 Senate RESOLUTION 15

September 23, 2003 - Introduced by Senators Kanavas, Zien, Darling, Wirch, Lazich, Stepp and Lassa. Referred to Committee on Senate Organization.

SR15,1,2 Relating to: Paul Hamm's and Morgan Hamm's exceptional performances at the U.S. Gymnastics National Championship.

SR15,1,5 Whereas, Morgan Hamm rallied strongly during the last day of competition at the U.S. Gymnastics National Championship to improve from 5th place to 4th place; and

SR15,1,7 Whereas, Morgan Hamm, by the merit of his exceptional performance, earned a spot on the World Championship team; and

SR15,1,9 Whereas, Paul Hamm won, for the 2nd year in a row, the U.S. Gymnastics National Championship; and

SR15,1,11 Whereas, Paul Hamm has proven without doubt that he is the best male gymnast in America; and

SR15,1,13 Whereas, Paul Hamm has secured a spot on the United States team at the World Championship; and

SR15,2,3 Whereas, both Paul and Morgan Hamm performed brilliantly at the National Championship and will represent Wisconsin and the United States with excellence at the World Championship; now, therefore, be it

SR15,2,7 Resolved by the senate, That the members of the Wisconsin senate congratulate Paul and Morgan Hamm on their outstanding performances at the United States Gymnastics National Championship and wish them luck at the World Championship; and, be it further

SR15,2,9 Resolved, That the senate chief clerk shall provide a copy of this resolution to Paul Hamm and Morgan Hamm.
